Are you a new addition to Father Christopher’s chruch? I know we definitely could use extra hands with the kids, lately. Especially now that school is out.
Actually, I’m a pastor of my own congregation over at Hillside Park United Memorial Church, not too far from Father Christopher’s church.
I guess he’s got a lot of tykes on his hands right now? Y’all do vacation bible school?
I don’t really— um. I help sometimes, sort of. But I’m just a regular church goer, I don’t actually work for the—
yes. Father Christopher does vacation bible school.
We’re actually working on arranging a bake sale to raise money for some new Sunday school books for the children. Plus it keeps them busy.

Coconut-Butterscotch-Fudge CookiesIngredients:
- 1pouch (1 lb 1.5 oz) Betty Crocker® sugar cookie mix
- 1/2cup butter or margarine, melted
- 1egg
- 1to 1 1/2 cups flaked coconut
- 1/2cup butterscotch topping
- 3/4cup hot fudge topping
Instructions:
Heat oven to 375°F. In large bowl, stir cookie mix, melted butter and egg until soft dough forms. Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Roll balls in coconut. On ungreased cookie sheets, place balls 2 inches apart.
Bake 9 to 11 minutes or until edges are light golden brown and coconut starts to toast. Cool 3 minutes; remove from cookie sheets to waxed paper.
Drizzle each warm cookie with butterscotch topping. In small microwavable bowl, microwave hot fudge topping uncovered on High 15 to 30 seconds or until spreadable. Carefully spread on top of each cookie. Serve warm or cool. Store loosely covered.
